Thanksgiving
I don't recall any really great thanksgivings. Thanksgivings were usually spent with people that I didn't necessarily like for about 28 years of my life. If it weren't for the distance between us, I'm sure that I'd be spending this time with my dad and step mother and sisters. We've not really got to spend that much time together. I'm really hoping that my other sisters will get motivated and start posting soon.
Anyway, this Thanksgiving will be spent here in Tennessee. My husband's grandmother has cancer and is in the nursing home and his mother will be spending most of the day with there, I'm sure. We will likely go out to eat with them since it has been a while since we've got together. My husband bought a duck and we were actually just going to have it and some broccoli casserole with sweet potatos but I gather from him that his parents may want to have us come by for a bite.
I'm so thankful that I don't have to spend any more Thanksgivings with people who I didn't really care for.
I'm very thankful to have met my dad and my step mother and all my sisters. And I'm so thankful that my kids have a set of grandparents that actually make them feel loved.
